“This session is going to look like it came straight from the pages of Magnolia Journal.” 

That’s what I said to Kristen after snapping the first frame of these adorable kiddos. I think she thought I was joking, but I knew this session was going to be something special. I mean, how could it be anything but when you combine this sweet and fun family, their stunning and newly-constructed modern farm house, a couple of camera-ready farm cats, and a gorgeous summer evening in the hills of Virginia? I could have photographed them for hours. This session felt less like “work” and more like I spent an hour hanging out with friends and playing with their kids.

Not to mention, at the conclusion Kristen and Philip sent me home with a bounty of their home-grown fresh produce and a gorgeous bouquet of teddybear sunflowers. Truly, what could be better than that?
